This season our robot was built for the Reefscape game where it was designed to prioritize the algae game pieces. We incorporated an elevator and claw as well as reverting back to a tank drive base.
Our subsystems were:
A two tiered elevator to reach the top of the barge structure
A vertical static claw to intake algae pieces with four rubber wheels to harvest algae off the reef or ground, and then shoot in both processor and net
two arms on the intake that hold one coral to place during the autonomous period using rubber bands
Our robot excelled as the top algae-only bot at Greater Pittsburgh Regionals. With a strong auto and tele-op, we ranked 7th and captained Alliance #5 with teams 1708 (Amp'd Robotics) and 63 (McDowell Robotics), finishing 3rd after a thrilling run to the 5th round of playoffs. Our performance earned us a spot at World Championships.
Special thanks to Team 694 for honoring us with their “Most Creative Robot” award.
Despite not being the main scoring element we focused on these!
We could score 1 in auto.
