This season our robot was built for the Rebuilt game. It was design for robustness and quick cycles.
Our subsystems were:
a 4-bar intake, capable of intaking up to 4 fuel at once, with an added kicker bar to prevent dead spots
a hopper, capable of expanding when the intake is deployed to store 35 fuel
an indexer, responsible of funneling fuel from the hopper and transporting them to the shooter
an independent double flywheel shooter, with an adjustable hood for aiming
At the Greater Pittsburgh Regional competition, our team emerged as one of the highest-scoring robots. We ranked 11th overall and were the first pick of Alliance #4 with teams 1511 (Rolling Thunder) and 4050 (Biohazard), finishing as the 3rd alliance in playoffs. Our performance earned us a spot at World Championships!
At the Miami Valley Regional competition, our team ranked 6th overall, making us alliance captain of Alliance #6. With teams 4467 (Titanium Titans) and 5811 (Bonds) we finished as the 5th alliance in playoffs.
At the Worlds Championship, our robot performed phenomenally. We won 7 of our 10 rounds during qualifications, landing us in 5th place in the Johnson division. This led us to become alliance captain of Alliance #4 where we partnered with teams 9483 (Overcharge), 955 (Control C), and 7257 (Semiconductors). With these teams we placed 5th alliance, the farthest our team has ever gotten at the Worlds Championship.
Going to the Worlds Championship was an amazing experience for all the students on our team. Thank you to all the teams and mentors that supported us on the way. We are looking forward to next season!
